Out of school club

Frodingham Fun Club offers a rich and stimulating educational environment, encouraging children to grow in confidence and enjoy early year’s development. Our carefully planned activities capture their imagination & feed their curiosity.

Our experienced team plan an exciting range of activities to help each child to develop at a pace that suits them individually including children that have more complex Special Educational Needs.

Although our provision is mainly aimed at children of working parents the facilities are open to all children who may wish to use it providing places are available.

Our flexible approach means that we aim to tailor childcare provision to suit the needs of both our children and their families during term time and school holidays.

We are located within the school nursery building. We are well-equipped and resources plentiful allowing us to continually provide a safe, secure and stimulating programme of activities for the wide range of children in our community. Outside play is incorporated into play sessions; utilising the safe outdoor open spaces.

The safety of children and adults is of paramount importance.

Environment:  Safety checks on equipment and premises both indoors and out is carried out regularly.  Outdoor space is securely fenced and external gates closed. The main activity room has specifically designed furniture, fittings and toilet facilities of the correct height and size.

Child Protection...

We comply with the procedures approved by the Area Child Protection Committee. We intend to create in our group an environment in which children are safe from abuse and in which any suspicion of abuse is promptly and appropriately responded to.

All staff are appropriately trained and also checked by OFSTED and the Criminal Investigations Bureau.

Breakfast Club...

Open daily from 8.00 a.m. during term time and Holiday Clubs. Breakfast Club provides morning childcare along with a nutritious breakfast. Children attending Frodingahm Infant School will be escorted into their school foyer in time for the start of school from where they can make their own way to their classrooms. Junior school children will be escorted to the school playground to arrive 5 minutes before the start of school day.

After School Club...

Each evening sessions begin with the transfer of care for children attending from local schools. The club offers a safe place for children, outside school hours, to enable their parents to work, study or just have time to themselves. When they get to the club they are registered, offered a snack and drink and are free to play or complete homework until their parents arrive. The After School Club provides a range of activities in a comfortable and safe environment. Activities vary each day and each week to meet the children's social, physical, intellectual, cognitive and emotional needs.

Holiday Club…

Our club runs childcare provision during school holidays for children aged between 3 and 12 years of age. Opening daily at 8.00 a.m. a selection of breakfast foods are available until 9.00 a.m.  A variety of activities are continually available throughout the day.  A packed lunch is required, although healthy morning and afternoon snacks are provided. Juice and water are available throughout the day.

We are a dedicated team of enthusiastic, able and caring play workers, with specific training in childcare. Many have been with the club for a considerable period of time. Collectively, there is a diverse age range and background.

All staff are C.R.B. approved, as well as carrying food safety and first aid certificates. Training is an on-going process; existing play work and childcare qualifications are continually updated.
